Add a Song
To add a song, just follow the path below. Before you start, though, here are a few important bits of info for you.
1. Don't even think about uploading a song you don't hold the copyright to unless you have written, signed permission from the copyright holder to do this and can prove it.
2. See number 1.
3. Songs on this site need to be good in intent, content and quality. We absolutely reserve the right to not put any song on here that doesn't meet those criteria, or to take one off that slips by somehow.
If the song is intended to cause trouble or if it advocates doing bad stuff or contains explicit language, it won't make the cut here. As for quality, if someone outside your immediate family and best friends genuinely likes the song, it's probably good.
4. Song files must be MP3 only—no other file types are currently acceptable—and files may not be more than 7 MB in size. If the file size is larger than that you might be able to reduce it by converting it at a lower bit rate. You should easily be able to get a 5 minute song under 7 MB by converting it at 128 kbps, the recommended rate.
5. Please ensure that your ID3 (song information) tags are complete and accurate. That will help you long after people have downloaded and shared your song with others.
6. You'll have a chance to enter a URL when you upload the song. Please ensure that it is accurate and that the site it points to is legitimate and meets the same standards we require of songs. Inaccurate or blatantly bogus URLs will keep your song from being posted.
7. All songs will be screened before being added to the site. Any song which does not meet the criteria above will not be added.
