Free & Legal Music was started by the folks from Do Good Music, a company that educates and otherwise assists independent artists in the music community.
In addition to this site we will have a free weekly podcast called Catch a Rising Star which features artists who are independent or with an indie label. You will be able to subscribe to that, and you can download at least one free song from every artist on that program here at Free & Legal Music.
We will also have an occasional podcast called The Pinnacle, in which we interview and play the music of folks who have "made it" in the music biz and who are willing to offer insights and advice as well as tell their story and give away at least one song here at Free & Legal music.
Finally, we will have a weekly podcast called Make a Living Making Music, aimed squarely at people who want to (you guessed it) make a living in the music biz. That one's not free, but the information in it can save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars along the way, and on the plus side it'll teach you lots of stuff about the music biz that will make you more effective and help you maximize your music related income.
